Due to its smooth and polished finish, cleaning and maintenance of honed aggregate is a walk in the park. Very low maintenance is
required and a quick simple sweep, vacuum and mop will suffice to remove any loose dirt, dust and spills.
Exposed aggregate and honed aggregate are both made of the same materials explaining why they both are available in the same stones and colour variations. Exposed aggregate has a coarse texture produced by letting the stones and other materials being visible on the top of the concrete layer. Honed aggregate however is ground down so it feels smooth and comfortable to be walked on barefoot.
Honed aggregate is often less expensive than you think but there are a number of factors you need to to know when requesting a quote. Our starting prices for honed aggregate starts from $85 per m2 plus GST.
Adding coats of sealer will make your aggregate or concrete last longer and look better over time by creating a layer of protection between the flooring and the damages caused by sun, dirt, rain and chemicals.
